Mubea eCargo · Bike Safety Guides
Slow, planned movements keep tight spaces manageable.
Before a manoeuvre
- Check the full area, including behind the cargo box and beside the wheels.
- Allow space for the whole body through a turn.
- Keep pedestrians clear and stop if anyone enters your path.
- Always engage the hazard lights inside the warehouse or unit. The hazard control is on the left of the handlebars.
Reverse with hazards on
- Stop and check that the whole path behind and beside the bike is clear.
- Switch on the hazard lights using the control on the left of the handlebars.
- Pedal backwards to reverse. Keep the hazards on while reversing and move slowly.
Reverse only when necessary and when you can confirm the path is clear. Move slowly. Stop if you lose sight of the space or cannot judge clearance. A warning sound does not guarantee that others have noticed you.
At the delivery stop
Choose stable ground away from junctions, crossings and access routes. Keep pavements, tactile paving, cycle routes and emergency access clear. Come to a complete stop and use the power button to engage PARK. Check the displayed mode before leaving the seat.
Lock the bike every time you leave it
- Bring the bike to a complete stop and engage PARK.
- Turn the bike off before stepping away. Never leave it turned on when you are not physically with it.
- Use the blue fob to lock the bike. Place the fob behind the speedometer screen and check that the bike has locked.
Keep the batteries locked in place as well. See battery security.
Before setting off again
Close and secure the cargo doors, check the load, look all around and rejoin traffic only when safe.
Do not attempt a gap that looks too tight. If you are unsure, stop safely, park and secure the bike, then get out and check the clearance before moving. Choose another stopping point or contact your manager for a safe alternative.

▶ Watch: Braking and parking
Use the brakes whenever needed. Stop fully, park securely and check directly around the bike before any reversing.
