Sources, credits & your privacy

Where the guidance comes from, who owns the material, and your choices when using the hub.

Sources & credits

Guides combine the operator’s confirmed routines with relevant official references. Use the current app prompts, your assigned vehicle’s instructions and your Site Manager for site-specific decisions. A general video does not establish the exact configuration of your fleet.

Content rights and permission to reuse

Lowe Driver Hub’s guides, layouts and Checklist Charlie materials are developed and maintained under Sam Lowe’s direction. We reserve all rights that subsist and that we own or control in the original material, human contributions, and its selection and arrangement.

Organisational use and internal distribution require prior written approval. Email sam@lowedriverhub.dev and receive Sam Lowe’s express written approval before adopting the hub for workplace training or copying, printing, adapting or sharing protected materials, including screenshots. A request, acknowledgement, attribution or acceptance of the terms is not permission. Use only within the approved organisation, purpose, audience and period.

Charlie’s artwork was created for Lowe Driver Hub using OpenAI’s ChatGPT image-generation tools under Sam Lowe’s direction. AI assistance does not grant visitors permission to copy it. Any rights claim is limited to rights that exist under applicable law and that we own or control; it does not extend to general ideas, ordinary facts or independently created similar output. Illustrations support the guidance and do not replace technical vehicle references.

Unauthorised reuse may breach our terms and, where protected rights are infringed and no exception applies, may lead to legal action. Statutory exceptions and fair dealing remain available where their conditions are met. Internal or educational use is not automatically exempt. Read the full content-permission terms and enforcement provisions.

Third-party videos, photographs, documents, logos and trade marks remain subject to their owners’ rights and licences. Our approval covers only rights we can grant.

Videos use the original publisher’s hosted player or link. Attribution is not a transfer of ownership or permission to download, alter or republish third-party content. Check the original source’s licence before reusing it elsewhere. Government material may be covered by the Open Government Licence v3.0; logos and third-party material can have separate terms. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0 where applicable.

A reference to Amazon, Mubea, eDriving, ClearQuote, DVSA, THINK!, HSE or another publisher does not imply that it created, approved or endorses this website. Use the footer contact link for corrections or a rights concern, identifying the page and material involved.

Privacy in plain English

This is a short guide to the hub’s full Privacy Policy, not a replacement for it.

  • Browsing: technical and usage information can be processed to operate, secure and improve the site. Analytics helps identify useful pages; recorded viewing time does not prove understanding.
  • Reading choices: Quick / Detailed choices and some guide preferences are stored on this browser. Shared work phones may retain the previous reader’s choices; use Reset view.
  • Reviews and feedback: forms store the rating, message and details you choose to provide. Optional site / company context is used internally with the record. Sending a review does not itself give permission to publish it; the form asks separately.
  • Signed-in features: account areas may contain training, performance or operational records. Ask your company about its applicable staff privacy notice and who handles those records.
  • External videos and links: opening a hosted player or external website can send technical information to that provider. Its own cookie and privacy terms apply. Use the direct source link if you prefer to view it separately.
  • Cookies: use the site’s Cookies control for the choices it provides. You can also manage stored cookies and site data in your browser.

Your data rights and how to ask

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to see your personal data, correct inaccurate data, erase it, limit its use, object to processing or receive portable data. You can withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. These rights have conditions and exceptions; deletion is not automatic for every record.

Use the privacy contact listed in the full policy to describe your request and which information it concerns. Do not send ID documents unless a secure, proportionate identity check is requested. Responses are normally due within one calendar month; identity checks and permitted extensions can affect timing, and you should be told why.

If a concern is not resolved, you can complain to the ICO. See its current information-rights guidance for more detail.

Private Spotted Bee workspace

The signed-in workspace stores account and site assignments, imported performance values, test answers and scores, attempt history, coaching actions and manager review notes. These records support training and performance conversations. They do not automatically decide pay, work offers or disciplinary outcomes.

Drivers can view their own records and explicitly published site summaries. If a driver is missing from two consecutive complete uploaded weekly site reports, their private workspace is temporarily paused for manager review. Partial reports and weeks without uploads do not trigger this rule. Managers can reinstate access or suspend an account; records remain available for review. Account changes and access decisions are logged. Passwords are never shown to managers. Authorised managers can view records within their assigned sites, and the platform administrator can administer the Spotted Bee workspace. Submitted report files are read temporarily and are not published in the media library.

Ask your onsite manager to review an incorrect result or to help with an access or information request. You can also use the site’s footer contact form. Do not include customer details, passwords or private bike codes.
